Scott A. Cisel is president and chief executive officer of AmerenCILCO, AmerenCIPS and AmerenIP—Ameren’s Illinois rate-regulated business segment. In this position, he is responsible for the gas and electric delivery business, customer service, gas support and community affairs for AmerenCIPS, AmerenCILCO and AmerenIP. Prior to his current position, he served as vice president, senior vice president, president/COO and of Ameren’s Illinois regulated business.
Cisel has worked in the utility industry for 32 years, advancing through positions in marketing, sales, operations, legislative, regulatory and public affairs at Central Illinois Light Company (CILCO), now doing business as AmerenCILCO. In 1995, he was elected vice president and has held various officer positions, becoming a senior vice president of CILCO in 2003.
Cisel is a member of the board of the Central Illinois Community Foundation, the Illinois Energy Association, Heartland Partnership, Peoria Next and the Biotechnology Research and Development Corporation. He is also involved in numerous other civic activities.
Cisel holds a bachelor’s degree from Culver-Stockton College and a master’s degree from Bradley University.
