About Alert Messages
	An Alert is a brief, outage-related message issued by Ameren during special or severe outage situations. An Alert remains available online as long as the message is applicable.
	An Alert is directed to Ameren customers in specific ZIP Codes within the Ameren service area.
	When an Alert is issued, it can be accessed from either an Outage Map or My Electric Outage.    With an Outage Map, the Alert icon - a distinct red icon - displays next to a ZIP Code when a message is available for viewing. Click the icon or the ZIP Code to read the Alert. See illustration on right.    After logging on to My Electric Outage, you will immediately see an Alert message if one has been issued for your ZIP Code.
