Sniffy and Louie Celebrate “Partner in Education”			May 23, 2007
“Sniffy the Sniffasaurus,” AmerenUE’s new natural gas safety mascot, made his Missouri debut on May 3 at the Partners in Education Kickoff in Columbia, Mo. Sniffy and AmerenUE’s electric safety spokesbug, Louie the Lightning Bug, joined other Columbia-area mascots at this family-friendly event, which celebrated the partnerships that have been established between businesses and local schools. “Sniffy the Sniffasaurus is an enjoyable character, but he brings a very serious message about the importance of natural gas safety,” says AmerenUE Senior Vice President, Energy Delivery, Richard Mark. “Children identify with mascots, so we’re pleased that Sniffy will be joining our electric safety spokesbug, Louie the Lightning Bug, in presenting key safety messages to children and their parents throughout our communities.”    Photo on right: Students pose with Sniffy and Louie.
