Natural Gas Supply and Transportation

Ameren’s Natural Gas Supply and Transportation professionals are responsible for effectively managing and operating the gas supply, storage, and pipeline transportation resources for these business units: AmerenCILCO, AmerenCIPS, AmerenUE, and AmerenIP gas utility businesses, and    AmerenEnergy Generating Company (AEGC), AmerenUE, AmerenEnergy Resources Generating Company (AERGC), Soyland’s Alsey plant, and the Medina Valley Co-Generation gas-fired generation units
Ameren Natural Gas Utilities    The combined natural gas operations of AmerenCILCO, AmerenCIPS, AmerenIP, and AmerenUE in Illinois rank as the second largest natural gas distribution company in Illinois, with more than 800,000 gas customers. AmerenUE is the third largest distributor of natural gas in Missouri, with approximately 120,000 customers. Gas sales for the combined Ameren gas utilities is 122 billion cubic feet per year, with a peak day in excess of 1.59 billion cubic feet.
Ameren Gas-Fired Generation    Natural Gas Supply and Transportation manages gas supply, transportation, and storage for 13 gas-fired generation plants in Illinois and Missouri totaling 2,400 megawatts, which is about 15 percent of Ameren’s total generation capacity.
